There is a smarter way to resolve your issues
You and your marital partner may not have to go to court to get a divorce. If the both of you can agree on the separation of property, amounts needed to maintain the children, etc., a consent order can be drawn up by your lawyers/solicitors.
First of all you have to write up a statement, listing all of your income, your savings, your investments, where you are living, and whether or not you intend to marry after the divorce or live with someone else. After you have done this, you and your spouse can draw up consent orders that will be taken to court to be examined by a judge, and then the divorce decree can be done in a much easier and less expensive way.
Taking a divorce through consent orders is a much simpler way of doing things, rather than going through the court system and having to go through all of the hassle of meetings at court, mediation to get everyone to come to an agreement, and all of the time spent and money spent as well.
If you and your spouse can’t agree on the separation of property or the custody of the children, then this is not the way for you to get your divorce. This works great as long as you can agree on who gets what and how much should be paid for the children and by whom. If people could at least go through the divorce without the emotions of distrust, suspicions, anger and greed, it could be such a simple stage to go through. Just write down what you have, agree on what you would like to keep, what you are willing to do without, and consider what is best for the children as far as who has either the full custody or possibly a joint custody or shared custody, therefore giving the children the easiest transition of living with separated parents, then this wouldn’t be such a nightmare.
The consent orders’ way of divorcing gives those who can be mature about the situation and come to an equitable division for both parties a way to make the divorce a simple and less expensive way of going about it. The divorce can be simple, if both parties are consensual about the agreement.
